Omega Nebula in X-ray X射線奧米加星雲 (17/8/2003)
這個叫奧米加星雲，又叫M17，不過在這圖中，很難可以認得出它的樣子，原因是它是一輻X射線的相片。這是由錢德拉X射線望遠鏡拍回來的一輻新相，一些新生的恆星會放出大量的熱，令周圍的氣體變得很高溫，粉紅色的地方就是最高溫的。明天再給大家看一張不是X射線的相比較一下。

Caption:: The Chandra image reveals hot gas flowing away from massive young stars in the center of the Horseshoe Nebula, a.k.a. M17, a.k.a. the Omega Nebula. The gas temperatures range from 1.5 million degrees Celsius (2.7 million degrees Fahrenheit) to about 7 million degrees Celsius (13 million degrees F). A group of massive young stars responsible for the activity in the nebula is located in the bright pink region near the center of the image. Chandra's resolving power enabled astronomers to separate the contribution from these and other stars in the nebula from the diffuse emission.

Rising Mars II 火星出 II (16/8/2003)
又再是火星，希望大家不會覺得悶，最近火星都成了焦點，五萬年一次的盛事喎，不是不多點留意吧。火星會越來越早升上來，很容易會便可以看到，大家一定不要錯過。

Caption:: Have you seen Mars lately? As Earth and Mars near their closest approach in nearly 60,000 years on August 28, the red planet has begun to appear dramatically bright and show interesting details through telescopes and binoculars. Although not yet visible at sunset, Mars can be seen rising increasingly earlier in the evening. Once above the horizon, Mars is easy to spot, as it sports a distinct orange-red hue and it is the brightest object in the sky after the Sun, the nearby Moon, and Venus. After Earth overtakes Mars in their respective solar orbits, Mars will be visible right from sunset, although its historic brightness will then begin to fade. Pictured above, Mars was captured rising in the south east next to Poodle Rock in Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada, USA.

Sleeping Lion 睡獅子 (15/8/2003)
累的時候真要睡一睡，動物當然也會喜歡小睡片刻。在炎熱的天氣下，位於非洲草原上的動物均受到烈日的猛烈照射，即使萬獸之王的獅子也抵受不了高溫，而經常躲到樹陰下休息休息。

Caption:: In the animal world, we can always find animal sleeping in daytime. Under the hot sun, animals on African glass land are all heated directly under the sun, so even the King of animals - Lion also always choose to stay under trees and take a rest.

Monument Valley 紀念碑谷 (14/8/2003)
大自然永遠也是那麼的鬼斧神工，這個位於美國亞利桑那州的紀念碑谷，圖中的石柱是由多少年月間被吹起的沙粒切割而成，加上月亮的陪襯，令這張相顯得更有美感。

Caption:: The wonder of nature is ever surprising. The image showing the Monument Valley in Utah, USA, the pillars are shaped by the sands cutting through in thousands of years. With the rising moon, making the picture looks more beautiful.

Mars II 火星 II (13/8/2003)
這是一張火星全球化的地圖，火星被拉平了，這樣可以更清楚看到火星各種不同的地形。南北兩面白色的是火星的極冠，另外你也可以很容易找到一些火山，它們很明顯的突了出來，還有在中間位置的峽谷－水手谷，都非常明顯。

Caption:: This is a global map of Mars, you can see its features clearly. The white region on the top and bottom of the image are the polar caps. You can also easily spot the large volcanos so as they are standing on the image, moreover, the largest canyon - Valles Marineris is easily seen at the middle.
