Trees

Caption:: Nothing special to say today, just relax and enjoy this pic. The pic is photographed at Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Really wish that Hong Kong could have this kind of environment.

Venus

Caption:: This global view of the surface of Venus is centered at 180 degrees east longitude. Magellan synthetic aperture radar mosaics from the first cycle of Magellan mapping are mapped onto a computer-simulated globe to create this image. Data gaps are filled with Pioneer Venus Orbiter data, or a constant mid-range value. Simulated color is used to enhance small-scale structure. The simulated hues are based on color images recorded by the Soviet Venera 13 and 14 spacecraft. The image was produced by the Solar System Visualization project and the Magellan science team at the JPL Multimission Image Processing Laboratory and is a single frame from a video released at the October 29, 1991, JPL news conference.

Rufous Hummingbird

Caption:: Hummingbirds is the smallest bird in the world, their length usually ranges from 5.6 to 12 cm, male Rufous Hummingbirds weight 3.22g and female weight 3.41g. Despite their size is so small, they have wingspan up to 70 times per second, which allow them to keep stationary in the air or fly backwards.

Bubble Nebula

Caption:: NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula, is a glowing shell of ionized gas surrounding a very hot and massive young star. This remarkable structure is created by the collision of a fast wind of ionized gas originating from the young star with diffuse interstellar matter remaining from its nascent molecular gas cloud. This material is compressed into a shell and further excites by the intense ultraviolent light emmitted from the new born star, resulting in the glowing bubble seen here.

Caption:: Resembling the puffs of smoke and sparks from a summer fireworks display in this image from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, these delicate filaments are actually sheets of debris from a stellar explosion in a neighboring galaxy. Hubble's target was a supernova remnant, denoted LMC N 49, within the Large Magellanic Cloud, a nearby, small companion galaxy to the Milky Way visible from the southern hemisphere. This filamentary material will eventually be recycled into building new generations of stars in the LMC. Our own Sun and planets are constructed from similar debris of supernovae that exploded in the Milky Way billions of years ago.
