Ant Nebula 螞蟻星雲 (4/5/2003)
螞蟻星雲是行星狀星雲，是類似太陽的恆星年老時噴出的氣殼而成。行星狀星雲的樣子千奇八怪，這星雲的樣子就像一隻螞蟻。

Caption:: From ground-based telescopes, this cosmic object -- the glowing remains of a dying, Sun-like star -- resembles the head and thorax of a garden-variety ant. But this dramatic Hubble telescope image of the so-called "ant nebula" (Menzel 3, or Mz 3) shows even more detail, revealing the "ant's" body as a pair of fiery lobes protruding from the dying star.ply reflect the light of embedded hot stars and appear blue.

Aurora over Norway 挪威上的極光 (3/5/2003)
一張好靚的極光相，有月亮同唔少星星陪襯，還有一個唔知係湖定係海的水面，鏡子般反射著月光和星光，很美。說聲對不起，因為我在某網頁中看到張圖，但一點也看不明白網頁中的不知名的語言，(可能係挪威文？又或是德文或法文...)僅僅知道是挪威而不知道確實的位置。紅綠色的就是極光，是一些由太陽產生的高能量粒子撞擊南北極的大氣層而形成的，或許等遲些再有極光相（總有機會的），再詳細介紹。

Pleiades 七姊妹星團 (2/5/2003)
七姊妹是另一個天文人的至愛，在秋冬春的晚上可以在金牛座的位置看見。M45和昴星團是它的其他稱呼，在萬里無雲的夜晚，看著它別有一番味道。七姊妹是一個疏散星團，深空天體的一種，而它是夜空中眾多的深空天體中最容易觀測的一個，這個星團看上去跟普通的星不同，因為普通的星只是一點，而它卻是一堆，我敢保證，只要你看過，你也會愛上M45。

Caption:: The Pleiades are one of the finest and nearest examples of a reflection nebula associated with a cluster of young stars. The cluster itself is a group of many hundreds of stars about 400 light years from Earth in the northern constellation of Taurus and has been recognised since ancient times. Seven of the brightest stars are quite easy to see with the unaided eye and bear the names of the Seven Sisters, the daughters of Atlas. The nebulosity seen here is light reflected from the particles in a cloud of cold gas and dust into which the cluster has drifted. It appears blue because these tiny interstellar particles scatter blue light more efficiently than the longer wavelengths of red light and it is streaky because of the distribution of dust particles in space. Some care has been taken to ensure that the colours seen here are realistic.

Emperor Penguins 皇帝企鵝 (1/5/2003)
除了天文相，動物的相片也很別緻，這張相的主角就是一班可愛的企鵝們。當中灰白色的是年幼的皇帝企鵝，站於它們當中的是成年的企鵝。想起企鵝，它們經常用個肚去滑雪跟溜冰，這個樣子就最可愛不過。

Horsehead Nebula 馬頭星雲 (30/4/2003)
這是我最喜愛的一輻圖 — 位於獵戶座的馬頭星雲。見到嗎？中間黑了的地方像不像馬頭? 這張由英澳天文台影返來的馬頭實在太靚，老實說，暫時仍未有任何一張天文相可以取代到佢的地位。

Caption:: This distinctive red emission nebula (IC 434) is the result of radiation from sigma Orionis interacting with the surface of a dusty cloud of gas from which projects the dark shape of the head of a horse. Sigma is the second brightest star in the picture and is at about the same distance from the Sun as the nebula. The brightest star here is zeta Orionis, easily visible to the unaided eye as the easternmost star in the line of three which form Orion's Belt. Partly obscured by the glare of zeta is the curious yellowish nebula NGC 2024, whose energy comes from stars hidden in the dark lane, while other nebulae simply reflect the light of embedded hot stars and appear blue.
